- The product must not be installed on a wooden base, as the grill has small openings from which a small amount of ash or sparks may fall out.
- Although a little water may seep inside the grill from the micro-crack between the lid and the grill casing during heavy rains, nothing happens – the excess water runs out of the ventilation hole at the bottom of the grill and does not damage the material as stainless steel is a lasting material.
- When grilled and exposed to heat, the stainless steel body of the barbecue sometimes turns purple. Bear in mind that the exterior of the barbecue will change colour over time.

After using the grill for one year I have the following comments:
All around quality: 10/10. The grill is extremely stable and the quality of the product speaks by itself. It is really a product that will last many of years. It endured a Nordic winter without a problem. I even used it under winter around -15 degrees and it was no problem for the grill to maintain heat and work well. I would recommend a cover just for added protection but from elements and birds. I would even recommend that grill symbol should sale the covers, I would actually think it would add a very nice detail to have a cover that says grillsymbol.
The instructions are not as clear as one would like but it is not that hard to set up the grill. I do recommend using a little bit of olive oil or another cooking oil in some parts since it can be hard to put them into place.
The grill pinchos or sticks are great, stable and really great that you can close the grill.
Things I would change or add:
I believe small details sometimes have big effects, I would like to have a bottle opener placed in the grill. I believe it is a small thing that can be a fun addition. The side tables, I would prefer if this would be slightly bigger and more stable, hard metal as the rest of the grill so you can get an all-around feeling that the steel feeling goes throughout the entire grill. Maybe also a hook to place grill tongs, there are some in the sidetables but it doesn’t fit all tongs or accessories and its not a natural position always. I usually use the handle in the grill when I have the grill closed but I would like another position that gives more a natural feeling for having the grill tongle or other accessories hanging.
The grill grates are amazing, stable and do an extremely good job. The basket for putting the charcoil is great and it is easy using charcoil or wood. One thing I would like it to be easier is being able to move the basket easier, sometimes its practical to move it to the middle of the grill when you want to grill with indirect heat, it requires a little push or lifting slightly.
After using the grill for one year, I’m extremely happy with it. Overall quality: 10/10. It’s very stable, well-built, and clearly made to last. It handled a Nordic winter without any problems, even at around -15°C.
The grill grates, skewers, and charcoal basket are all excellent and work well with both charcoal and wood. The instructions could be a little clearer, but assembly is still quite straightforward.
There are a few small improvements I’d suggest: slightly larger and sturdier side tables, a hook for grill tongs, a built-in bottle opener, and making the charcoal basket easier to reposition for indirect grilling.
Overall, the quality really speaks for itself. I’ve recommended GrillSymbol to several people and don’t see myself replacing this grill anytime soon. The improvements are minor – more like a natural evolution of an already excellent product.
